ABOITIZ Construction was recently honored as the top industry taxpayer for contractors in Claver, Surigao del Norte, for the fourth consecutive year, highlighting its significant economic contributions to the municipality.
The company received the Top 1 Industry Taxpayer for Contractors award, along with the Top 6 Taxpayer Contributor award, during the 2025 Garbo Nan Claver Awards & Panaghiusa Night. The event was held as part of the town’s 70th Founding Anniversary celebration.
Claver Mayor Georgia D. Gokiangkee presented the awards.
Aboitiz Construction’s First Vice President Beverly Tolentino emphasized the company’s commitment to its host community.
“Receiving these awards is a testament to our shared responsibility as partners in progress,” she said.

She added: “Through our operations, we remain committed to supporting the host community of the Municipality of Claver where we operate by creating jobs, contributing to local development, and upholding execution excellence in everything we do.”
Municipal Administrator Atty. Carlo Reynaldo F. Lozada, Jr. acknowledged the company’s role in the town’s economic growth.
“The progress of Claver is fueled by the strength of our local economy, and this would not be possible without the continued trust and confidence of businesses and industries,” Lozada said.
Since 2012, Aboitiz Construction has been involved in maintenance operations at a mineral processing plant in Claver, creating nearly 1,000 jobs for local residents.
The company has also participated in various community initiatives, including school support programs, blood donation drives, and disaster preparedness training.
