A TOTAL of P22,000 cash was given to the winning policemen who participated in the currently held mural contest activity.
Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) spokesperson Police Major Ivan Viñas revealed, that to receive the first prize of P10,000 was those assigned as Tourist Police.
While the P7,000 goes to the City Mobile Force Company (CMFC). And the P5,000 also goes to Police Station no. 2 as the 2nd and third placer respectively.
The cash prizes were given during the culminating awarding ceremony held at Cocpo headquarters located at Barangay 40 on December 15.
Present during the said occasion were Police Major Viñas, Cocpo Acting Police City Director; Police Lt. Arce Yam-oc, Deputy City Director for Administration (DCDA); and Police Lt. Emilita Simon.
Viñas said the final judging for the contest was done by selected Judges composed of Atty. Adrian Barba, chairman-City Advisory Council; Atty. Robert Lou Elango, Regional Appellate Board-Napolcom 10; and Mrs. Ave Gladys Gabucan of the City Tourism Office.
Also highlighted in the said activity was the giving of certificates of Appreciation to the juries of the said contest.
It was learned that the murals were painted on the wall of Cocpo headquarter and was participated by Police stations 1 to 10 and special units.
