CAGAYAN de Oro City hall employees will soon receive their much awaited annual clothing allowance, following an official directive from Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy.
In a memorandum issued on May 28, designated as Memorandum No. 2025-MM 690, the mayor authorized the Local Finance Committee to initiate the payroll processing for the Uniform/Clothing Allowance.
The allowance, originally set at P7,000 per employee, has been adjusted to P5,800.
This reduction of P1,200 is intended to cover the cost of fabric for a Filipiniana-style uniform, which includes a barong and trousers.
To streamline the process and prevent delays, departments have been given the discretion to select their own tailors for sewing and fitting the uniforms.
This clothing allowance is a standard benefit provided to government employees to support their need for appropriate work attire.
The Local Finance Committee is coordinating with the Accounting and Budget offices to expedite the release of funds.
Employees are advised to contact their administrative officers for further updates and assistance with tailoring arrangements.
