A 51-year-old carpenter landed in jail after his arrest yesterday for two counts of sexual abuse against children.
Police Capt. Ernesto Sanchez, Agora Police Station head, identified the suspect as Ronilo Parreno, married, and residing at Upper Kulambog, Barangay Lapasan, this city.
Police arrested the suspect at about 5:23 pm at Hillside Kulambog of the said barangay under the police’s Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operation.
Regional Trial Court-10 Judge Evelyn Nery of Branch 19 slapped the suspect with a P400,000 bail bond for the two charges ― Acts of Lasciviousness and Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.
Accused is now temporary in the custody of Agora police station for processing and documentation and to be physically presented to the issuing court for the issuance of commitment order.
