GINGOGG City Mayor Erick Cañosa revealed that the city government is preparing a lot of activities and displays this month to celebrate the 63rd Charter Day and the Grand Kaliga Festival 2023, this July 23.
“The balikbayans are already here from other countries to witness the entire event from July 16 to July 31,” said Cañosa.
Cañosa said the city government of Gingoog is celebrating this year’s Charter Day and the Grand Kaliga Festival for the second time since the Covid-19 pandemic ended.

“There will be more people witnessing this annual celebration of the City Charter Day and Grand Kaliga Festival because almost everyone (has been) vaccinated,” Cañosa said.
The lined-up activities will be run by both the Gingoog City Tourism Council, chaired by Jose L. Bollozos III, and the Gingoog City Heritage Culture and Arts Council headed by Cañosa and co-chaired by Maggie Tse.
This celebration is in cooperation and collaboration with the Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Vice Mayor Thaddeus Lugod and the entire bureaucracy of the city government, said Cañosa.
