The Apple Tree Resort & Hotel in Opol, Misamis Oriental officially kicked-off the Yuletide season with its annual Christmas tree lighting at the said hotel’s lobby on December 1 with the theme “Candy Land Christmas”.
It can be recalled that last year's Christmas Tree was composed of around 3,550 coconut bow ties harvested from the coconut groves of Alubijid, Molugan, and El Salvador which stood at a whopping 21.4 ft, with a diameter of 11 ft., fashioning the theme "Paskong Pinoy". It was an enormous undertaking to complete the intricate and organic design made it one of my favorite Christmas trees to date.
This year ATRH Christmas tree offers a more child-oriented and child at heart approach with five colorful Christmas tree displays that came in sky blue, yellow, white, and the traditional green decorated with a variety of garland, Christmas balls, toys, ginger houses, flowers, and a fluffy white flooring that served as snow.
It also featured a unique Christmas tree made of small gift boxes to form a tree that came in different colors.

The unveiling was lead by ATRH Sales & Marketing Manager, Evelyn A. Geverolam, Bjanesha Manigsaca Emphasis, ATRH General Manager, and representatives of the Municipality of Opol.
As the curtains drop a festive dance number by ATRH staff that perfectly fits this year’s theme.
Concluding the event proper, were special numbers of the above beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, for his part ATRH Marketing & PR officer, Clement Dampal unveiled the hotel’s enhanced version of its “ATRH Privilege Card” under its brand loyalty program that was carefully crafted by the hotel to suit its guest needs with plenty of perks in one card.
