BUTUAN City--The Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group and the Special Weapons and Tactics swooped down a business establishment, arrested a woman which police considered as a “big fish” in the illegal drug trade here, and seized some P2.3 million worth of suspected shabu at the Langihan market on Tuesday afternoon.
Supt. Rowena Martinez, leader of the police team, identified the arrested suspect as Baelawan Rascal, 24, of Barangay Ong.
Martinez said Rascal was “No. 1” in the police’s target list of suspected drug dealers in the city and nearby areas.
Her arrest came after a search warrant was issued by regional Judge Godofredo Abul of the Regional Trial Court Branch 4 in the city.
Rascal is now under the custody of Butuan police, and was scheduled to be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
