MALITBOG police are now tracking down the culprits responsible for the stealing of computers in a government elementary school yesterday dawn.

A police report sent to Police Provincial Director Jun Mark Lagare said the suspects carted away seven desktop computer units, an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), and two Central Processing Units (CPUs) with a total amount of P280,000.

The incident took place at about 2 am at the San Luis Central Elementary School located at Barangay San Luis of the said municipality

In a police blotter, it was revealed, that a certain Jessa Ibahan, a teacher of the said school reported that the culprits gained entrance by destroying the computer room’s ceiling.

Once inside, the suspects then divested all the computer sets and their accessories before leaving.

Lagare ordered Malitbog Municipal Police Station, under Police Lt. Jeofrey Taghap, to conduct a thorough investigation of the incident and possible identities of the culprits and for its immediate resolution. He also encouraged the public to be vigilant in their surroundings at all times and report immediately anyone acting in a suspicious manner.

The public is also encouraged to cooperate with the local police and report any information in relation to the said incident.
