FOUR farmers, a construction worker, and a merchandiser, tagged as the most wanted persons in Bukidnon, are now languishing in jail after they were arrested by authorities for statutory rape and rape charges yesterday.
Police Col. Reynante Reyes, Bukidnon police director identified the suspects as Noel Candole, 39, single, a construction worker, and residing at Purok 7, Barangay Halapitan, San Fernando; Orlando Cagadas, 42, farmer of Purok 7, Barangay Bangcud, Malaybalay City; and Romulo Quirino, 42, merchandiser, married, Purok 3, Batangan, Valencia City,
Three others were also identified as Denmark Domingo, 38, married, farmer, a resident of Barangay Lindaban, Manolo Fortich; Ronnel Merida, 34, single, farmer of Zone 3, Barangay Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon; and Leo Durias, 27, single, Purok 4, Barangay Kiara, farmer, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.
Cagadas, Domingo, Merida, and Durias are farmers. While Candole and Quirino are construction workers and a merchandiser, respectively.
Cagadas was arrested at Purok 6, Barangay Kalasungay, Malaybalay city at 9:33 am by personnel assigned at Malaynalay police station headed by Police Capt. Joseph Galupo, and 1st Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Company.
He is facing statutory rape and Violence Against Women and Children. The court did not allow him to post bail for the rape case except for the P180,000 for the VAWC.
Domingo was nabbed at 10 am by Manolo Fortich police led by Police Major Harvey Sanchez, and 1st Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Company at his residence. He is ranked as 4th of the most wanted person at the municipality level.
Meanwhile, Merida, who was charged with two counts of statutory rape, was rounded up by the Manolo operatives at 12 noon.
He is ranked as the second most wanted person in the said municipality.
The court did not recommend a bail bond for his temporary liberty.
Durias was also arrested in a joint operation of Kitaotao police led by Police Maj. Marvin Enciso; and Bukidnon 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company at Barangay Panadtalan, Maramag at 2 pm. He is the 5th most wanted person at the provincial level.
Candole was arrested at 9:30 am and Quirino at 10 am at their respective residences by San Fernando police and Bukidnon 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company, respectively.
All the suspects are now under the custody of police headquarters for proper disposition.
