Amaya View a leisure and nature-themed park nestled in the highest peak of Cagayan de Oro City is set to open its doors to the public today.

Officially launched last Thursday, July 30 Amaya View reopened its doors to the public with a ceremonial ribbon cutting of its new Amaya pavilion lead by Joshua Unabia and Misamis Oriental Provincial Tourism Office head Jeffrey Saclot.

Amaya View promises to comply with health-standards and regulations by enforcing strict measures to ensure the safety of its employees and customers from the Coronavirus Disease 2019.

The Amaya pavilion aims to centralize its services to provide customers with a one-stop place that offers snack bar, ticketing, hotel bookings, restaurant reservation, and information booth.

It also has its own function rooms located at its 2nd floor that could accommodate over 50 guests and with two fully enclosed and air condition rooms, and one outdoor dining area to connect the two.

For his part, Misamis Oriental 1st District Representative Christian Unabia during his opening remark hopes that the reopening of Amaya view would help Misamis Oriental’s economy.

Ang atoang gobyerno karon medyo short na kaayo ug revenue because of this pandemic, and by opening up this tourist spot we can jumpstart the economy and contribute a little to the revenue para mapadayon ang plans and other programs of our government,” he said.

The said event was attended by Gingoog City Mayor Erick Cañosa, Balingoan Aaron Paul Unabia, Binuangan Mayor Romeo Gue Sr., Jasaan Mayor Redentor Jardin, Talisayan Mayor Rommel Maslog, Department of Tourism Tour operation head Jules Barid, and Misamis Oriental Provincial Board members.
