By BEN SERRANO Correspondent BUTUAN City--A contractor who is challenging the reelection bid of Mayor Ferdinand Amante Jr. topped a survey on mayoral candidates here that was conducted by the Fr. Saturnino Urios University Policy Center. Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte also topped the survey on presidential candidates. The survey, conducted Feb. 27 to March 6, showed mayoral candidate Engr. Ronnievic Lagnada taking the lead with 42.20 percent of the 1,932 respondents. Mayor Amante closely followed at 37.15 percent  while another mayoral candidate, Councilor Teodoro Emboy, received 0.5 percent. The survey showed that 20.08 percent were still undecided. In the presidential race, Duterte took the lead with 42.10 percent, Grace Poe, 14.70 percent; Manuel Roxas, 12.8 percent; Binay, 6.5 percent; and Miriam Defensor Santiago, 0.68 percent. For vice mayor, former congressman Jose Aquino II received 45.58 percent; Councilor Ryan Anthony, 18.37 percent; and Councilor Sergio Pascual, 2.39 percent. For congressman, reelectionist Rep. Lawrence Fortun received 49.43 percent while former congressman Roan Libarios got 24.51 percent. The undecided voters in the vice mayoral race sampling was at 30.59 percent while in the congressional race, it was 20.53 percent. For vice president, 18.89 percent are for Sen. Francis Escudero who statistically tied with Rep. Leni Robredo who got 17.99 percent. Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. received 14.20 percent; Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, 13.21 percent; Sen. Antonio Trillanes, 2.39 percent; and Sen. Gringo Honasan, 0.94 percent. The undecided votes for the presidency was 22.74 percent while for the vice presidency, it was 32.31 percent. The survey was conducted in partnership with  the Research, Accreditation and Planning Division of the Fr. Saturnino Urios University, said FSUU Policy Center executive director Josefe Sorrera-Ty.
