A murder suspect in Don Carlos, Bukidnon went viral on social media after one Amelyn Adlaon Paigalan posted on Facebook, asking media influencer Raffy Tulfo to help her younger brother recover whom she claimed was completely innocent of the crime.
The accused Wilson Adlaon Jr, a gasoline station security guard from Maray Maray of said town, is still languishing at Don Carlos municipal jail, as of press time, since his arrest on October 5.
According to Paigalan in her public plea, Wilson was with them at the time of the incident, and that “napagbintangan lang po siya at walang kaalam-alam.”
In fact, Paigalan said that after learning he had an arrest warrant, her brother immediately went to the police station to clear his name but was put to jail instead.
Asked by Gold Star Daily for clarification, town councilor Jun Abrena immediately secured legal copies from the police pertaining to Paigalan’s complaint.
Signed by Regional Trial Court presiding Judge Wilfredo Gutang Bibera Jr of Malaybalay City, the court order commanded the Don Carlos police to arrest Wilson Adlaon Jr for his alleged involvement in the shooting to death of a woman identified as Jore Jean Omectin somewhere in nearby Poblacion Kitaotao on April 22, this year.
“Kapatid ko raw ang driver ng gunman hindi nga n’ya kilala ang biktima. Sana mag investigate po sila ng maayos. Sobrang hirap po dahil nasa Davao lang kami sobrang layo ng Bukidnon, kahit pagkain po niya sa araw-araw ay hirap na hirap po kami dahil sa hirap ng buhay ngayon. Wala pong maka asekaso sa kapatid namin doon sa Bukidnon,” Paigalan wrote.
Meantime, media man Rey Cabaraban who operates a radio station in Don Carlos, told Gold Star Daily that he tried to call on the local police under PMajor Harvey Sanchez in an effort to clarify things out “but they kept mum on the issue ug dili gatubag kon tawagan.”
In the police records recently given to Kag. Abrena and forwarded to this writer, it failed to cite any witness name. The proper address of the victim did not also appear.
“Ang kana na crime Jun nahitabo sa Kitaotao kadto si Ms. Omictin Ang gipusil adtong April 22, 2021 sa poblacion Kitaotao. One of the suspects kini si Wilson Adlaon Jr taga Maraymaray ang address. Nag gawas iyang warrant dated Sept. 28, 2021 Kay spotted man diri sa atong AOR maong atong gidakop by virtue of WOA,” a message from the police also shared by Kag. Abrena to this writer later surfaced.
