MARAWI City — Another Malasakit Center opened last Friday at the Camp Amai Pakpak Hospital, this city.
The opening rites of the 64th Malasakit Center in the country was attended by Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Adiong. Senators Christoper Go, Francis Tolentino, Miguel Zubiri, Ronald dela Rosa, Marawi City Mayor Jamal Gandamra were also attended the opening ceremony.
Earlier, Sen Go, main author of R.A. 1223, said the Malasakit Center is meant to compliment the Universal Health Care Act.
Inside these Centers are one-stop shops satellite offices of the Department of Health, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes that give patients access to government offices they need in their hospital transactions.
Go confirmed that the Office of the President allocates at least P5 million monthly as seed capital to Camp Amai Pakpak Malasakit Center.
