DIGOS City ― Police operatives caught three alleged pushers of illicit drugs in Davao City in separate buy-bust operations over the weekend.

P/Major Jake Goles, Sasa police chief identified one of the suspects as Anthony Rhian dela Cerna Sarita, 36, a tricycle driver, and a resident of Freedom Village, Barangay San Antonio, Davao City.

Seized from Sarita who is listed as the Top 6 in the list of drug personalities in the city are drug items weighing 3.06 grams with a street market value of P48,960, Goles said.

Police chief Goles also said a certain Feliciano Lamikday Quijano, Jr., alias “Palawit” was caught in the act of selling prohibited drugs to a poseur-buyer at around 9:57 pm on Saturday along Kilometer 10, Barangay Sasa, Davao City. Quijano, 44, is a resident of Poblacion Quezon, Bukidnon province.

The operatives confiscated at least P16,000 worth of “shabu” from the suspect, the report said.

Meanwhile, P/Major Jonnel Bonguyan, Eden police Toril District station chief reported that a buy-bust operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Mat” after falling into the trap set up by the joint police operations.

At least 1.23 grams of suspected shabu were seized from the suspect with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value of P8,610.

The suspects are all facing charges for violating RA 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
