FOR only a sachet of suspected shabu, two construction workers in Malaybalaty City, Bukidnon are now inside prison cell following their arrest yesterday afternoon.
Bukidnon Provincial Director Jun Mark Lagare, identified the suspects as Wyn Evan Salcedo, 36, and his co-worker also identified as Lighton John Ramos, 30, both residing at Purok 2, Barangay Colonia, Valencia, Bukidnon.
They were arrested while in the house where they were staying located at Purok 4A, Barangay Aglayan, Malaybalay City at around 1:30 pm, Sunday.
Confiscated from the suspects’ possession were a piece of a sachet containing suspected shabu worth P500, a motorcycle Yamaha brand, and some personal belongings.
An inventory was witnessed by Kagawad Nicanor A. Mabal, of Aglayan.
Lagare expressed his compliment to the responding PNP personnel for a job well done. He also added that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s war on drugs is a whole-of-nation approach. Hence, the community is encouraged to support the police and other law enforcement agencies in fighting criminalities for us to attain a drug-free, safe and peaceful Bukidnon.
