DIGOS City ― Two women landed in jail after police operatives caught them conspiring to sell illegal drugs at about 9 pm on May 13.
P/Major Marvin Hugos, commander of Davao City police station 2 located at Claro M. Recto Street, Corner San Pedro Street, Davao City in a report said they were arrested through a buy-bust operation where the suspects took the bait from the police agent acting as poseur-buyer during the sting operation.
The police chief identified them as Maricar Berangil Basilio, 28, a resident of Purok-11, Singkwang Sto. Niño, Barangay 76-A, Davao City, and Jeanifer Roxas Sevilla, 33, a resident of Bolton Street, Barangay-39-D, Davao City.
Basilio handed a heat-sealed plastic sachet, believed to be shabu to the police agent after receiving the marked P1,000 bill. Four other sachets of various sizes were found inside the pouch of Basilio, the police report said.
The operating team also seized the cellular phone of Sevilla who acted as conspirator of Basilio during the buy-bust operation.
More or less 2.06 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P32,960 were seized from the suspects who are now facing charges of violation of RA 9165 for selling and possession of illegal drugs.
