The City Public Safety Company (CPSC) under the command of Supt. Allan Palomo, together with its Company Advisory Council (CAC) chaired by Engr. Marileen Maglaque, in collaboration with the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 10 (RCLO 10) headed by Supt. Mary Leocy Mag-abo conducted a one-day simulated Crime Scene Preservation Seminar-Workshop to the Barangay Tanods and Barangay Intelligence of Barangay Tignapoloan, this city under the chairmanship of Nancy L. Aban on April 5.
The seminar-workshop, soon to be formally adopted as Best Practice of CPSC, generally aims to properly educate barangay tanods on the appropriate actions to be done when responding to crime scenes and emphasize their crucial role as first responders. Topics discussed were: Duties and Responsibilities of First Responders; Crime Scene Preservation in relation to Criminal Justice System; Proper Handling of Physical Evidence; Bomb Awareness; and Arrest Techniques.
Simulation exercises regarding the topics were also conducted and followed by critiquing of performance by RCLO 10 and CPSC personnel. Certificates of Participation were given to the participants. (pr)
