Police arrested a drug personality, ranked number 2 under the area of responsibility of Police Station 7 in Barangay Bulua around 11:20 am Wednesday police said. The suspect was identified as John Kennedy Canuto, 24, a resident of Calaanan, Barangay Canitoan. Senior Insp. Ian Neoh Datiles, chief Police Station 7 said Canuto was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Emmanuel Pasal of the Regional Trial Court Branch 30 for violation of Section 5 of R.A. 9165, docketed under criminal case No. 2016-1703 with no bail recommended. Meanwhile, another suspected drug pusher was arrested after a buy-bust operation in Barangay 9 on the same day. Recovered from the suspect Jason Yongco, 32, a resident of Barangay Macabalan were 15 sachets of suspected shabu worth P30,000 and P200 cash used by the undercover cop. (a.l. ricalde)
