DEFENSE Secretary Gilberto ‘Gibo’ Teodoro Jr., along with the military’s top brass, view the ‘Tears from Heaven’ monument on September 19 at the Philippine Army’s 103rd Infantry ‘Haribon’ Brigade.
The monument’s bronze plate is engraved with the names of 168 soldiers who were killed during the five-month Marawi Siege from May 23 to October 23, 2017.

The monument, designed to resemble a dove, is made from the bullet-riddled roofing of the Marawi Cathedral that was damaged during the battle against ISIS-inspired terrorists.
