PHILIPPINE Air Force Reservist Sergeant Stan Myer C. Borromeo was honored with the Military Merit Medal for his heroic actions during a vehicle accident on September 28, 2024.

The award was presented by Lieutenant Colonel Roy Ritua Lopez, Commanding Officer of the 8th Air Reserve Center, on Monday.

Sgt. Borromeo had just completed Search and Rescue Auxiliary Training and was on his way home when he came upon a jeepney accident near Pryce Plaza Hotel. Without hesitation, he administered crucial first aid to the victims, including 16-year-old Angel Mae Amarga from Barangay Dansolihon.

His quick response and calm demeanor were vital in stabilizing the injured until medical professionals arrived. Witnesses praised his composure and effectiveness during the emergency.
