IS somebody from among the many consultants of the RTA looking into the present strategies of that office? Or is it simply business as usual then conveniently collect their consultancy fees even if they are clearly ineffective?
With the many consultants the RTA has who supposedly are expected to come up with new strategies so that it could manage the worsening traffic situation, and with the expenses of the city those consultants, why is traffic still a problem of the Mayor?
Is RTA and it's consultants really capable of managing traffic, or should the office be overhauled first by terminating the engagement of the inept consultants and replacing the sitting-pretty department head?
What new strategies can we see in the streets? None! Instead we continue to see illegal occupation of sidewalks and streets by illegal vendors and even by legitimate business establishments!
Businesses are tolerated to use the sidewalk and even portions of streets as part of their operating areas. Just look at the store extensions being tolerated or allowed by the RTA all over the City! Is the RTA head really capable of doing the job? And what are the consultants doing? Practically nothing, it seems!
And, look at illegal and double parkings being done under the nose of traffic enforcers. It's all over the city!
Mayor Klarex Uy has to seriously take a closer look at the performance of the RTA if he wants the traffic situation to improve. It seems the RTA is merely applying "business as usual" strategies even if those strategies have proven to be ineffective!
Both the department head and the consultants will have to be sacked if the City is serious in addressing the traffic mess!
