CAGAYAN de Oro Second District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez personally visited and distributed relief aid to 23 families affected by a flash flood in Barangay Camaman-an on Tuesday, July 1.
In partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Rodriguez and Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez provided various forms of assistance.
Recipients received kitchen kits with basic cooking utensils, and sleeping kits containing mosquito nets, blankets, pillows, mats and malongs. They also were given clothing packs with essentials for adults and children, including shirts, shorts, slippers, towels and undergarments.

Prior to this, the families had already received food packs with rice, canned goods and coffee.
Camaman-an Barangay chairperson Bodie Galarrita expressed gratitude to the Rodriguez family and DSWD for their support. Kagawad Rolando Arda also was present during the turnover.
Rodriguez thanked DSWD-10, led by Regional Director Ramel Jamen, for coordinating efforts to assist the flood-affected residents. He pledged to request additional cash aid through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations and to coordinate with the National Housing Authority to process aid under the Emergency Housing Assistance Program.
