By Nora Soriño, Iligan City Bureau Chief and Sita Asequia, Correspondent Iligan City — The police here said they will validate reports circulating on socia media and in text messages that the Maute group will take revenge on the city. City Director Col. Roy Ga said that even if such is remote, the possibility cannot be entirely discounted because for one, there is the  distance factor. Although, he added the police is on top of the situation and there is also the mechanized brigade of the Army who can help, should there be an attack by the Maute group. “The public, though, has to cooperate and I enjoin the residents to report immediately any sighting of suspicious persons,” said Ga.
