By BEN SERRANO Correspondent BUTUAN City--The PDP-Laban on Monday said it would “adopt” former Agusan del Norte congressman Roan Libarios and Renato Guevara as its candidates for congressman and councilor, respectively, here. Libarios is running for congressman the the 1st District of Agusan del Norte under the Aksyon Demokratiko. PDP-Laban also named Mark Tolentino of Cabadbaran as its chairman for Agsuan del Norte. The announcement came on Monday when PDP-Laban Deputy Secretary General Martin Dino met with former Butuan congresswoman Charito Plaza, PDP-Laban vice president for Mindanao, here. He said the three candidates were chosen due to their “integrity, honesty and morality in governance.” “They were highly recommended due to their principled ways of politics,” Plaza said. Dino said he came here to grace the “graduation” of participants to the PDP-Laban membership seminar. Meanwhile, Tolentino told a press conference here that the lawyer of Agusan del Norte 2nd District Rep. Erlpe John Amante has told him that the congressman has shown interest in joining the PDP-Laban.
