A new four-lane flyover valued at P3.963 billion will be constructed in Barangay Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City soon.
The 578-meter structure will span the intersection of Amethyst Street and Galaxy Road.
The City Development Council (CDC), led by Acting Mayor and Vice Mayor Jocelyn ‘Bebot’ Rodriguez, approved a resolution to proceed with the project during a recent full council meeting.
Funding will be provided by the national government through the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
Construction is scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2023, with completion targeted by 2029.
The project aims to improve traffic flow, enhance access, and promote economic development in the eastern part of the city.
City officials and DPWH representatives will coordinate in the coming months to finalize project details and prepare for ground-breaking.
