Last July 2025, Kong Hua School Batch 2000, together with Batch 1975, carried out a medical mission that served 750 patients, far exceeding their initial target of 300. “We’re lucky in a sense that we’re all able to give back to the community and school,” shared Dianne Lim of Batch 2000 who helped lead the event.
The mission provided free medical consultations, dental check-ups, and medicine assistance, as well as indigency registration for those in need. To the batch, catering the community was made possible through the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), which donated enough medicines for a thousand people. Rochelle Ching-Lim, a batchmate and pharmacist, also extended help by providing essential medical equipment. “This is a very noble mission,” she said, “and happy pud ko makatabang sa community.”
The event was supported by the City Health Office, City Health Insurance Office, and the Pharmacists Association of the Philippines, along with 22 volunteer doctors and nurses who dedicated their time to serve. Tickets for the mission were distributed through the local barangays of Carmen, Kauswagan, Calaanan, and Puntod, ensuring those most in need could take part.
For Batch 2000, the mission was more than a project; it was a reflection of their shared spirit. Every time something was needed, someone from the batch stepped up. Everything simply aligned, reminding them that giving back is easier when done together.
