HERE’S one way to maintain one’s political health, literally.

Members of the group Cagayan de Oro Bikers for Leni conducted a dawn bike caravan today. The route started from the Rodelsa rotunda, looping to Bulua and rounding off at Galaxy, Gusa ending at their campaign headquarters in JR Borja extension.

Nakahuna-huna ko og himo aning CdeO Bikers for Leni kay nakita nako na siya lang ang leader maka inspire sa ato mga Pilipino ma sapian man o ma probre,” Samson ‘Bong’ Tan, a businessman from Carmen. “Transformative iyang leadership gina pakita, and mao kini ang kinahanglan sa atong nasud,” he added.

“What brought us together was our love for biking and our support for Leni. Everybody should do their civic duty in their own way,” said Jasper, a member of the group.

In an interesting twist, several members of the group, upon discovering that there was a reporter covering the activity, feared being outed as a Leni supporter.

One biker vehemently begged this reporter to not even identify the government agency even in general terms as she feared backlash from her superiors who she claimed are that their office in a very partisan manner.

Other participants also begged not to be identified, as the majority of them are government employees and feared the same backlash from their respective superiors as well.

Lisud na sir, ma dumtan ta. Maski pag human sa election naa pa raba gihapon ko didto ga trabaho,” one participant lamented.

Akong papa sir, police, but that’s all I can say. I will not identify him further as he will get in trouble at work,” another participant added.
