Ex-treasurer nabbed over old case of malversation

BUTUAN City--Authorities on Friday arrested a former municipal treasurer of Jabonga town in connection with an old case for malversation of public funds but he subsequently bailed out. Jury Losutan, 53, was arrested in his home at Purok 2, Poblacion, Jabonga town in Agusan del Norte due to a case filed against him in 2007 when he was still town treasurer. His arrest by a group led by Senior Insp. Allan Serquina was based on an Aug. 5, 2015 warrant issued by Cabadbaran regional Judge Godofredo Abul. He was allowed to bail out. (ben serrano)
