CLIMATE justice and environmental groups brought in relief goods for residents affected by Typhoon Odette in the provinces of Agusan del Sur on December 26, and Surigao del Norte on December 27.
The Philippine Movement for Climate Justice (PMCJ) joined forces with the Center for Energy, Ecology, and Development (CEED), and Bulig Pilipinas, combining funds, manpower, and other resources to reach out to the two provinces.
Bringing in a truckload of bottled water and food packs, they traversed the coastal areas along the national highway to directly hand out their packages to the residents.
Relief goods distribution in the Visayas provinces of Cebu, Bohol, and Leyte were also carried out by other onsite teams of PMCJ, CEED, and Bulig, with some areas also provided with solar lights and generators.
