BUTUAN City––Authorities seized some P2 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay of Maon, this city, on Wednesday night.
Two suspects, one a minor, were arrested. The adult was identified as AJ Tahir, 20. The other suspect is a 17-year old female from Marawi City.
Butuan acting police director Senior Supt. Romy Palgue said the two were arrested in their residence in Barangay Maon during the buy-bust operation carried out by the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group, and the Regional Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Group.
The police seized cellophanes containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 175 grams. Its street value was placed at P2.065 million.
Also seized were marked money, a caliber .38 revolver, 18 rounds ammunition, a motorcycle without a license plate, cellular phones, and assorted drug paraphernalia.
The arrested suspects were detained at the Butuan City Police Station 1 while the suspected shabu was sent to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
