Tough and strong

From zip to zapped

WE have to be most wary of this particular predicament that, sad to say, is becoming more common these days. This is not about the usual and normal aging and deterioration we can expect as we grow old after a life of very active work.

Tolerating but not condoning

TO be realistic about the concrete conditions of our life here on earth, we need to know how to be tolerant of certain unavoidable evils without condoning them.

Toughness

TO be sure, if we have to truly Christian, we need to be tough, really tough. Christ himself was tough, but with the toughness of love that goes all the way of assuming all the sins of men by offering his life on the cross.

Salt and light

THAT’S what Christ tells us about who we are and what we are supposed to do in this world. “You are the salt of the earth... You are the light of the world.” (cfr. Mt 5,13-16) He addressed these words to his disciples.

Love-inspired fidelity

WE need to re-examine our spirit of fidelity because with all the rapid new developments around demanding us to be dynamic, open-minded and versatile in the way we live our commitments, it would be very easy for us to get confused and lost.

Ain’t no mountain high enough

IT’S a title of a Motown soul song originally done my Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell way back in 1966 and re-performed by Diana Ross in 1970. It was a big hit as it proclaimed the good news of hope whatever may happen in our life.
