CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy on Thursday underscored the significance of a new health facility, stating that it is poised to elevate health service provision for the residents of Barangay Gusa and surrounding communities.
Mayor Uy even personally witnessed the blessing and turnover of the 3-storey multi-purpose health facility in Barangay Gusa on Feb 22, Thursday.
The said health facility was a project by the Department of Public Works and Highways with the efforts of Senator Aquilino 'Koko' Pimentel and Gusa Punong Barangay Marlo L. Tabac.
City Mayor's Office chief of staff Sheila Lumbatan said the new health facility was warmly welcomed by Mayor Uy as it is expected to enhance health service delivery to the residents of Barangay Gusa and neighboring communities.
The facility is equipped to cater to various health needs, contributing to the overall improvement of healthcare services in the area, according to Lumbatan.
She said Mayor 'Klarex' expressed gratitude to Kapitan Tabac for the support extended to the local government of the city, particularly to the City Health Office led by City Health Officer Dr. Rachel D. Dilla.
The mayor also acknowledged the efforts of Senator Koko in collaborating with barangay health workers (BHW) to successfully provide basic health care services at the Cagayan de Oro-Technical Vocational Institute (CDO-TVI).
The completion of the multi-purpose health facility signifies a significant milestone in the advancement of healthcare infrastructure in Barangay Gusa, according to Lumbatan.
