COSINA Integrated School in Talakag recently received assistance from the Royal Knights Eagles Club. This club is known for its work with many schools in Claveria, Misamis Oriental, and other East and West School Areas.
Clubs around the country, including the Royal Knights, are recognized for their dedication to serving disadvantaged communities.
They have shown their commitment once again in two remote schools in Mindanao.
The Fraternal Order of Philippine Eagles, a non-profit organization has a history of helping underprivileged schools and communities, often those in remote locations that are typically overlooked.
They selected Cosina Integrated as a particular school they wanted to help, as it is attended by many underprivileged students.
"The club's goal is to support these students, and we decided to include this school in our community service initiatives," said Eric Daabay, the president of the club. He also expressed gratitude to Hatch Masigasig for leading the effort.
The Royal Knights Eagles Club, along with its female counterpart, the Royal Knights Lady Eagles Club, is devoted to helping schools and communities in need.
Daabay led the group in Claveria town, Misamis Oriental's Brigada Eskwela on August 12. Their mission is to provide essential services like facility maintenance, supply provision, and educational support to underserved areas.
On August 14, they also carried out various helpful activities at the Cosina Integrated School.
They had a meeting with parents and teachers, painted classrooms, cleaned up the school grounds, and provided cleaning materials like liquid soap to teachers and students.
The club expressed its gratitude to the Department of Education (DepEd) Regional director Art Bayocot and School Head Jhonmark Oligario.
They thanked DepEd X, Assistant Regional Director Dr. Federico Martin, Superintendent Victoria V. Gazo, Talakag 1 District Incharge Said M. Macabago, and SGOD Chief Artemio Rey S. Adajar, as well as all the teachers and parents of Cosina Integrated School.
The Royal Knights would like also to express their gratitude to the teachers of Cosina Integrated School such as Donna Mae M. Cañizares, Mecho S. Moreno, Juvelyn F. Agcol, Marybelle G. Luna-an, Elenita P. Dabatian, Daphnie B. Peñaflor, Yolly A. Edulsa, Leif Allen I. Cabingas, Ericka C. Padayao, Crystel Ann S. Olamit, Celerina B. Amarille, Danica Y. Bayaon, Jamelah P. Barton, Cecila E. Bermor, Christian D. Baya-on, Lovely J. Jonayon, Marriane Eve E. Babeda, and Ronane Jay D. Pacuño.
The Royal Knights' efforts go beyond addressing the physical needs of the schools and communities they serve.
They also strive to promote unity and cooperation.
Jasmine Bilangatao, a social welfare official from Talakag Bukidnon, was also in attendance. She assists in creating a list of 4Ps recipients who play a significant role in the event.
Balingatao emphasizes the crucial role of parents in preparing their children for school, both physically and academically."
By involving parents, teachers, and other community members in their projects, they foster a spirit of collective responsibility and care for the schools and their students.
"The club's unwavering dedication to serving the less privileged is a shining example of community service," stated Daabay.
Members of the Royal Knights Eagles Club and their friends from Eagle TFOE are proud to continue their tradition of community service.
They want to say "Mabuhay" to everyone who contributed to their efforts!
