THE Cagayan de Oro City Council is set to hold a special session on June 15, 2023, at the Cagayan de Oro Convention Center (CICC) under the leadership of Vice Mayor Jocelyn "Bebot" Rodriguez.
The session is in celebration of the 73rd Charter Day Anniversary of the city, where Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy will also deliver his first State of the City Address (SOCA).
The special session will provide an opportunity for the city council to hear the mayor's accomplishments during his almost one year of service to the city.
Mayor Uy is expected to present his report on the progress of the city under his leadership, including the successful implementation of various programs and projects that have contributed to the improvement of the quality of life of the people of Cagayan de Oro.
The mayor's report is expected to cover a wide range of topics, including infrastructure development, economic growth, education, health, social welfare, public safety, and environmental protection.
The city council will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on the mayor's report.
According to the Vice Mayo Rodriguez, the special session is an important event that provides an opportunity for the city council and the public to hear directly from the mayor about his accomplishments and plans for the future.
"We are looking forward to the mayor's report and we hope that it will inspire us to continue working together for the betterment of our city," she said.
The special session is open to the public, and all stakeholders are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion of the State of the City Address.
Ridriguez also said the City Council invites everyone to join them in celebrating the 73rd Charter Day Anniversary of the city and to hear firsthand the progress and plans for the future of Cagayan de Oro under Mayor Uy's leadership.
