THE City of Cagayan de Oro welcomed the Malaysian Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Dato Abdul Malik Melvin Castelino, as he paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Rolando Klarex Uy, Friday morning.
City Mayor's Office Chief of Staff Sheila Lumbatan said that the meeting focused on fostering potential trade relationships and investment explorations between the city and Malaysia.
During the visit, the Oro-Trade and Investment Promotion Center Head, John W. Asuncion, extended a warm welcome to the Malaysian delegation, which included Minister Amaluzzaman Mohd Assani and Counselor Nurriha Ahmad.
The delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the city's current investment landscape and business development opportunities, according to Lumbatan.
Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy expressed his appreciation to the Malaysian officials for their visit, emphasizing his optimism for future collaborations, particularly in the areas of trade and investment.
