IN a momentous event, Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy expressed his immense joy and pride as JR Borja General Hospital (JRBGH) finally achieved the long-awaited Level II accreditation from the Department of Health. 

During the flag-raising ceremony held on Monday, August 7, Mayor Uy conveyed his gratitude to the City Hall staff, particularly the personnel of JRBGH, and the leadership of the Acting Chief of the Hospital, Dr. Ferdinand Miranda, for their hard work and dedication that has led to this great achievement.

"Above all, Mayor Klarex extended his heartfelt thanks to the Divine Providence for the patience and perseverance exhibited by the city throughout the waiting period, eventually actualizing the Level II accreditation," said City Mayor's Office chief of staff Shiela Lumbatan. 

According to Lumbatan, the mayor with the establishment of an Intensive Care Unit, Hemodialysis services, CT Scan facilities, and a tertiary-level laboratory, the people can now avail themselves of these essential healthcare services at JRBGH.

In Mayor's message, he said that the successful attainment of Level II accreditation by JRBGH signifies a significant leap forward in the quality of healthcare services offered by the hospital.

"This accreditation is a testament to the hospital's compliance with stringent standards set by the Department of Health, ensuring the provision of safe and effective medical care to the community," said Uy.

"Mayor Klarex's dedication and commitment to the development of healthcare facilities in the city is also truly commendable," said Lumbatan. 

She added that the mayor's unwavering support for JRBGH, along with the collective efforts of the city's healthcare professionals, has yielded fruitful results, benefiting the residents of the city and the surrounding areas. 

The Level II accreditation promises enhanced healthcare experiences and improved patient outcomes for all those who seek medical assistance at JR Borja General Hospital, according to Lumbatan.

Lumbatan said that Level II accreditation of JRBGH will lead to further improvements in the city's healthcare services.
