CAGAYAN de Oro City Mayor Rolando "Klarex" Uy's administration extends its commitment to providing quality healthcare services to its constituents as they distribute PhilHealth cards to the residents of Barangay Bonbon.
The ceremonial turnover was led by Ms. Sheila Lumbatan, the Chief of Staff for Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy, alongside other city officials.
They were there to oversee the distribution and ensure the smooth running of the event.
Lumbatan said that in the spirit of public service, the local government of Cagayan de Oro, in strong partnership with PhilHealth Region 10, has officially distributed PhilHealth cards and member data records (MDR) to the NHTS PhilHealth members of Barangay Bonbon.
"This community initiative was part of the "Klarex nga Serbisyo sa Baryo" event held on Saturday (Sept. 2)," said Lumbatan.
"The PhilHealth cards grant beneficiaries access to a wide range of medical services, including hospitalization, consultations, laboratory tests, and medicines, among others," said Lumbatan.
She said that with these cards, residents of Barangay Bonbon can seek medical care without the worry of financial constraints impeding their access to quality healthcare services.
Barangay Bonbon Captain Allan P. Mabalacad expressed his gratitude for the various essential services provided during the 'Klarex nga Serbisyo sa Baryo' event for the residents of Barangay Bonbon.
The event was a significant demonstration of the local government's commitment to the health and welfare of its constituents, according to Mabalacad.
The distribution of these PhilHealth cards and MDRs will ensure that more residents have access to vital healthcare services.
As part of the national health insurance program, PhilHealth provides substantial support to its members, covering a wide range of health services, from hospitalization to outpatient services.
With this distribution of PhilHealth cards, Lumbatan added, Cagayan de Oro City showcases its commitment to being a partner and advocate for the welfare of its residents, ensuring that quality healthcare services are readily accessible to all.
"The distribution in Barangay Bonbon serves as a stepping stone towards achieving a healthier and more resilient community," said Lumbatan.
The effort of Cagayan de Oro's local government, together with PhilHealth Region 10, signifies their ongoing commitment to improving the lives of the people in their community.
