CITY Hall employees in our city are gearing up for a fun and healthy event, said City Mayor's Office chief of staff Shiela Lumbatan.

The upcoming 123rd Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service will be spearheaded by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), by Presidential Proclamation No. 1050, issued in 1997, which designates the month of September as the Civil Service Month.
As part of the commemoration, Lumbatan said a Fun Run for City Hall employees has been organized, in support of the CSC to promote physical fitness and well-being, said Lumbatan.
Earlier, the Human Resources Department of City Hall announced that registration for the Fun Run, scheduled for September 3, will conclude on Thursday of this week, August 31.

"This event is exclusively for City Hall employees and serves as an opportunity for them to participate in a healthy and active activity," said Lumbatan.
During the flag-raising program held on Monday morning, hosted by the City Treasurer's Office, additional details regarding the Fun Run were shared.
The activity is intended to encourage City Hall employees to prioritize their physical fitness and overall well-being.
By participating in the Fun Run, employees can engage in an enjoyable exercise while also fostering a sense of camaraderie among their colleagues, according to Lumbatan.
"The Fun Run seeks to create awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, particularly among City Hall employees," she said.
Lumbatan added that it offers an opportunity for them to come together, engage in physical activity, and experience the benefits of regular exercise.
She added that by organizing such events, the CSC and City Hall aim to promote a culture of wellness and encourage employees to adopt habits that contribute to their overall health.
The Fun Run registration deadline of August 31 serves as a reminder for City Hall employees to seize the opportunity and sign up for the event, said Lumbatan.
"It is expected to be a memorable and enjoyable occasion that not only promotes physical fitness but also strengthens the sense of community and teamwork among the employees," Lumbatan stressed.
