THE City College of Cagayan de Oro held an orientation seminar on January 17, 2024, for the incoming trainees for the First Quarter of academic year 2024.
The seminar, with the theme "Welcome Home: Building Dreams, Transforming Future," was attended by 83 new trainees across various qualifications including Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII, Housekeeping NCII, SMAW NCII, and Carpentry NCII.
The orientation provided the new trainees with an overview and history of the institution, information on current programs and offerings, as well as the policies and guidelines that the trainees need to follow for a smooth and meaningful training experience.
Dr. Jestoni P. Babia, President of the City College of Cagayan de Oro, emphasized the importance of pursuing one's dreams during the orientation.
Additionally, Jerome L. Torres, the Vocational School Administrator, highlighted the in-demand technical skills in the city, stressing the importance of acquiring these skills.
Sheila Lumbatan, the chief of staff of the City Mayor's office, stated that the institution is still accepting new trainees, encouraging individuals to join their growing family.
She emphasized the collective effort to build dreams and transform the future of the trainees.
