POVERTY Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) led by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-10, together with its partner agencies launched two-trainings, in Barangay San Juan, Balingasag, on Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) NC II, and in Barangay Lanise, Claveria, on Dressmaking NC II, on July 27.
A total of 50 beneficiaries composed of Indigenous People (IPs) and former rebels (FRs) will start their respective training next month as part of PRLEC’s mandate to capacitate communities in conflict-affected areas to end local communist armed conflict in the province.
“These are the communities identified in our priority areas under EO 70, the National Task Force for ELCAC. Ang training nato sa TESDA ang tumong ana dili lang sila makapangita ug pang empleyo but they will possess the skills requirement na pwede nila magamit sa pangadlaw adlaw nila nga panginabuhi,” said TESDA-10 Regional Director Ashary Banto.

Our training in TESDA aims not only to give an opportunity to seek employment but they will possess the skills required that they can use in their everyday living).
Despite the change of administration, the TESDA-10 chief assured that PRLEC’s programs and support towards the whole nation approach to ending the local communist armed conflict are continuing and that they have already mapped out various conflict-affected priority barangays in the region for necessary training programs and interventions towards sustainable peace and improvement of standards of living.
