Behind the renovation are Cinema Operations Manager Maria Lo P. Layong and General Manager Hammer Bagani F. Roa, who shared that the upgraded Cinema 2 reflects Ayala Malls Centrio’s commitment to elevating the moviegoing experience. More than just a venue, the cinema was designed as a space where comfort, quality, and atmosphere come together to create something memorable.
Stepping into the upgraded Cinema 2, the difference is immediate. What was once a simple cement interior has been transformed into a refined, thoughtfully designed space. The walls are now lined with fabric panels, paired with improved carpeting that enhances both the visual appeal and the acoustics of the room. The addition of soundproofing seals the space from outside noise, allowing every sound—from the softest whisper to the loudest explosion—to resonate with clarity.

Seating, too, has been given careful attention. Ergonomic leather chairs now fill the cinema, replacing older seats with a design that prioritizes comfort. Whether it’s a quick film or a long cinematic feature, viewers can settle in without distraction. With a capacity of 345 seats—larger than the mall’s other cinemas, which hold around 200—the space manages to feel expansive without sacrificing comfort.
But beyond physical upgrades, the renovation reflects a deeper goal: to create an elevated moviegoing experience. The aim was to give Cinema 2 a “home theater” feel—familiar and comfortable, yet enhanced by the scale and quality that only a cinema can provide. It’s a balance between intimacy and grandeur, where viewers can feel at ease while still enjoying the full impact of the big screen.
Convenience also plays a role in this new experience. Moviegoers can access tickets online through Ayala Malls Centrio’s digital platforms, making the process smoother and more accessible. Combined with the mall’s standard customer service, the improved facilities ensure that the experience begins even before stepping inside the cinema.
Safety has not been overlooked, with features like a designated fire exit integrated into the upgraded design. It’s a quiet but essential detail, reflecting the cinema’s commitment to both comfort and security.
