HAVE you ever thought of this question?

If I were to be sarcastic, I would say clothes or, worse, underwear. But mind you, some people forget to wear underwear or choose not to.

Rosary beads. All of my bags have rosary beads. That way, I don’t have to transfer if I change my bag. The rosary beads are gifts from relatives, friends, and clients from their travels.

I once had a client who made rosary beads for donation to various organizations. In one of my visits to her home, she gave me over 20 rosary beads. As I arrived in the office, my boss was shocked since I distributed one per employee. I just told him, “Sshh, don’t comment. It’s from one of our valued clients.”

A book. Something light to read while waiting or when in a cafe. A book could be digital or printed. I’m old-school. I prefer leafing through the pages, and I love the smell of books. I also have digital books. It’s like bringing the whole library with you in one gadget.

Hair dryer. My friend, Liza, can’t leave without it. She leaves the house perfectly groomed. Yet, she still has an extra hair dryer inside her car for touch-ups before getting out. And her hair is just gorgeous. Always runway-ready.

Etelle’s the exact opposite. She only needs an electric fan, or if there is none, towel drying will do. Then she bends over and shakes her head and hair. Voila! And she’s done. Her hair's radiant. I already mentioned in my previous article my hair chronicles, which is why I ended up loving my curls (no choice).

Mobile phone. I often get asked how we managed to do meet-ups before when there was no mobile phone. Well, we always did. We plan ahead of time, and we have to be on time. No sudden meet-ups like what we do now when we send a text message or a chat message, “I’m here at the mall, can we meet?”

As per Loloy, he can’t leave without his phone because of the calls he receives daily. His phone also serves as his mobile or digital wallet, which is the case for most of us. Seldom do we carry a wallet these days, or it could be that it’s not as big a problem as it used to be if you forgot to bring one. That is if you have your mobile phone with you.

Alcohol spray. The pandemic changed our way of life. Alcohol has become a basic necessity. Same with face masks. I’m referring to the disinfectant and not the drink. Although, I know that's also a basic need for some.
