AS part of its ongoing response to natural disasters and its commitment to provide immediate aid to those most in need, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD-10) began distributing relief supplies Friday, June 20, to families affected by recent flooding in Barangay Camaman-an, Cagayan de Oro City.

The relief operation started at 10 am at the Camaman-an covered court, where hundreds of residents gathered to receive assistance. According to Barangay Secretary Faith Bonsilar, a total of 3,060 families — or about 12,454 individuals — were identified as beneficiaries.

Only residents from specific flood-affected areas within the barangay qualified to claim the supplies.

These areas include Pinikitan, Adela, Ramonal, Macajalar, Ronin, Centro, Bolonsiri, Palawan, Imburnal, and Sta. Cruz Purok 4.

To streamline the distribution, the DSWD required only the head of each family to be present when claiming the relief goods.
