By DAVE ACHONDO Desk Editor AS much as 23 hours of blackouts would hit many parts of Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental again this weekend. The Cagayan Electric Power and Light Co. (Cepalco) announced that it would undertake a stringing of overhead ground wire of the Kauswagan-Puntod 69-kv line project from NHA Phase 3 to Villa Vicente in Kauswagan today, and another 69-kv line upgrading work on the highway in San Martin, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental tomorrow. Expect the blackout starting at 7 am today until 6 pm or 11 hours at NHA Phase 1, Capisnon, Kauswagan and all of Barangay Bonbon and Bayabas. Cepalco would also have a power switching from 7 am to 8:30 am (1 hour and 30 minutes) and again, at 4:30 pm to 6 pm, affecting areas along RN Pelaez Blvd., from Kong Hua School up to the National Telecommunications Commision (NTC) area. Tomorrow, portions of Villanueva, Misamis Oriental, along San Martin highway, from the police headquarters up to Buguac and Bilayong Area, would experience 12 hours of blackout. Cepalco would also implement an hour and 30 minutes load transfer from 6 am to 7:30 am and again, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm, affecting major parts of Tagoaloan, Bugo, Puerto, Cugman, Gusa, Lapasan and Indahag. Marilyn Chavez, Cepalco assistant vice president and community relations head, said the supply of electricity would be restored immediately without further notice the moment line and switching  works are completed.
