A FILIPINO-IRISH has sent a letter of commendation to three police officers assign to the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) for assisting her find the taxi cab where she left her personal belongings when she had a vacation in the city.
Christine Faith Cortez, 59, from Belgrad Square, Dublin, Ireland vacationed here last March 12 to 24 and stayed at Luxe Hotel.
Cortez said when she came back to the hotel from a party, she remembered that she forgot to take her belongings from the taxi’s compartment.
“It was only upon reaching my room and relaxing then I remembered my bag. I went to ask for help from the hotel reception and guard at the front door but to no avail. They said they were not able to record the taxi plate number. They could not even show the CCTV footage,” she said.
Cortez identified the three police officers PO3 Lyndon Ramiro, PO2 Elmer Mabaylan, Jr and PO2 Stanly Pinguit.
Cortez also pointed out in her letter to City Police Director Senior Supt. Robert Roy Bahian that his men were well disciplined, efficient, helpful, and she salutes them for a job well done.
“These policemen is the reflection of your own organization,” she wrote in her letter.
