And it really did feel like the good ol’ days because the NY venue was packed! Sold out and SRO! Imagine, the band and I arrived at past midnight (the front acts started at 7PM) but everyone patiently waited. When they finally took over the stage, there was that familiar sound of shrieking fans and I knew it was going to be a wonderful, memorable night.
Together with select members of LA-based Pocket band, the guys brought the house down with their own hits, R&B faves, pop medleys, old school rock and beautiful ballads. The audience sang along, danced to their hearts’ content and celebrated OPM music. I may have been a fan girl that night but it was also actually fun to observe others. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who missed South Border Project. I wasn’t the only one who missed real good Filipino talent.
Thank you Tata, Paul, Ric and Vince for always making me feel like family! That was truly a beautiful day. See you guys again real soon! My gratitude as well to Miss Minnie and Miss Tonette! Thank you for all the chikkas!
Special thanks to JC SID Entertainment and to VYNZ-NY’s Vince Gesmundo (belated happy birthday! Thank you for always being kind to me!)
