MARAWI, Lanao del Sur — A day after Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr., had a big rally in Marawi City, Vice President Ma. Leonor ‘Leni’ Robredo arrived here and clinched the support of the powerful, local clans who are supporting her presidential bid.
Robredo said she met with former Lanao del Sur Governor Soraya Alonto Adiong, the matriarch of the Alonto and Adiong clan in Ditsaan-Ramain town early yesterday morning.

Soraya is the mother of Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Adiong Jr., who earlier promised Marcos Thursday “a big win” in Lanao del Sur in the coming May 9 elections.
Her clan, the Alontos, and their relatives are reportedly supporting Robredo.
Speaking to her supporters at a rally in Area 7, Barangay Sagonsong, Marawi City, Robredo said she also met Taraka Vice Mayor Amenodin Sumagayan and the 15 mayors who have signified their support for her campaign in a hotel in Iligan City Thursday night.
Robredo did not say what was discussed in the two meetings. She is, however, close to the matriarch having visited her regularly in the past.

Sumagayan, in an earlier interview, said he and the mayors are pushing a RoSa campaign — supporting Robredo and Mayor Sara Duterte.
Governor Adiong promised Marcos, who came here Thursday, that he would campaign for him to win the election in Lanao del Sur.
Wearing a pink hijab, Robredo visited 37 weavers of the Bamboo Landers Multi-purpose Cooperative in Buadipuso-Buntong town in Lanao del Sur.
Later at a rally in Area 7, Barangay Sagonsongan, Marawi City, Robredo still wearing the hijab, greeted the Maranaos with a “Happy Ramadan,” the month-long fasting which is about to start in a day or two.
She left Marawi City early to fly to Bohol where she was scheduled to have a rally in Tagbilaran City and Jagna town.
