MISAMIS Oriental 1st District Rep. Christian Unabia, son of gubernatorial bet Peter Unabia, lead the distribution of cash assistance under Livelihood Assistance Grant to 85 individuals on Wednesday afternoon in a sustainable livelihood assistance program held at the Covered Court in Barangay North Poblacion, Municipality of Medina of this province.

On the same day, Unabia, along with his father, also led the distribution of cash assistance to almost 300 beneficiaries under Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situations (AICS) done at the Covered Court at South Poblacion, here.

In his message, Unabia expressed gratitude to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Senator Christopher Go for the assistance program.

Town Mayor Donato Chan said all 85 beneficiaries received P10,000 each, while the 300 AICS beneficiaries received P4,000 to P5,000 per individual.

Chan said the 85 beneficiaries were the 5th batch of the said distribution of the livelihood assistance grant while the distribution of AICS was the 2nd batch.

The distribution program were also attended by Magsaysay town mayor Rey Buhisan, Provincial Board Member Wayne Militante, and Gingoog ABC President Robert de Lara.

ASEC Niño Contreras, representing Sen. Go, also graced the event.
