Iligan City — A joint buy-bust operation finally caught an elusive target over the weekend.
According to a police report of Station 1 in Tambo, Hinaplanon signed by Lt. Desiree Relos, deputy station chief, the joint operation was composed of the Regional Operations group led by Col. Rodney and the deputy station commander of Station 1.
This was on 10:50 pm and was conducted at Park Sweet Inn at Purok 3, Dao, Hinaplanon, this city.
This resulted in the arrest of one Alfredo Paynaen Lonoy, Jr., alias Edu Lonoy, single, 33, unemployed, and a resident of Purok 7, Hinaplanon, this city.
Items bought from Lonoy, the report reads, were one medium size heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu, one piece aluminum rolled foil with the shabu item estimated to have a street value of P10,000.
Lonoy is now detained at said station pending filing of appropriate charges.
It was learned that the previous week Lonoy was also the subject of a similar operation but was too elusive to be caught. (Nora Soriño)
