The PHIVIDEC Industrial Authority reported a record-breaking ₱1.48 billion in revenue in 2025, while remitting more than ₱443 million to the national treasury.

Joseph Donato Bernedo, administrator of the agency that manages the Phividec Industrial Estate, announced the milestone during the estate’s three-day Open House Exhibit held March 25–27, where more than 15 locators showcased their products to stakeholders.

Financial data showed steady growth in the past three years. In 2023, PHIVIDEC generated ₱1.11 billion in gross revenue.

This increased by 13 percent to ₱1.25 billion in 2024 and surged to a record ₱1.487 billion in 2025.

Bernedo emphasized that PHIVIDEC remains a self-sustaining government corporation that operates without subsidy from the national government.

“PHIVIDEC stands on its own. We do not receive even a single centavo from the national government. We generate our own revenue,” he said.

In 2025, the agency remitted ₱443,517,877.74 to the national treasury, underscoring its contribution to national development.

“This proves that PHIVIDEC is not a burden but a contributor to nation-building,” Bernedo said, adding that the estate is a source of pride for the province.

“PHIVIDEC is truly from Misamis Oriental. It was born, built and run here—this is ours,” he said.

Because the industrial estate is located in the province, it also contributes to local government revenues through real property taxes.

Last year, PHIVIDEC paid more than ₱110 million to the provincial government of Misamis Oriental. It also remitted over ₱75 million to the municipality of Villanueva, Misamis Oriental and more than ₱58 million to Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

Meanwhile, Jerome Soldevilla, president of the PIE-MO Industries Association, said locators inside the estate continue to promote cooperation despite being competitors.

“We may operate as competitors, but we choose to collaborate, cooperate and support each other when it matters,” Soldevilla said.

He added that the shared vision among locators shows that PHIVIDEC is not just an industrial zone but a community of partners working toward a common future.
